Gloria New opened on 1 November 2005 - designed by Michelle Gayon - a French architect who was the designer of the original Old Course. Set on the land which runs west of the Resort a little further down than Nobilis on the opposite side of the main road.
The New Course is designed to be the best of the best, elevated tees, 4 large lakes umbrella pine trees flanking most fairways, great strategically placed bunkers, well trapped greens and lighning quick Bermuda greens. There is a feeling that this new course will be similar to the Sultan - at Antalya Golf Club - but with umbrella pines rather than Eucalyptus trees flanking most holes. Play it and you will find it to be as good as any south European course - alongside San Lorenzo, Vilamoura Old etc. It is priced more expensive than its illustrious neighbour the Old course and it is long at over 7,000 yards off the back sticks, now there are 45 holes to tempt you to the exclusive Gloria Resort. Special green fee rates for residents of the Gloria Golf and Gloria Verde Hotels and special access for residents and residents of the Sirene Palace also!
